Delicate petals in shades of orange and purple gracefully unfold on this flower, showcasing their vibrant colors against a blurred green background. The intricate details and subtle gradients add a touch of elegance to the natural bloom. This Iris grew in my garden in Grapevine, TX. Each year it bloomed with beautiful colors, and I was fortunate to be able to sit and gaze at the bloom while I relaxed and refreshed my mind. It will always be one of my favorite images. My favorite way to print this is on metal because it really makes the colors pop!

I began my photographic journey in 1972 with a 35mm SLR camera. I learned quickly that I could control the way an image looked and make it look much better than most amateur photographers. Over the following decades, my interest in photography grew as I pursued a career in the high tech industry. Over the years I was encouraged by many friends to turn my "hobby" into a profession. It wasn't until 2002 that I took action and began my professional photography career on a part time basis. From 2002 through 2014 I learned and grew a LOT!
