A rustic stone building stands under a vast sky filled with scattered clouds, with a silo visible in the background. The barren, gravelly foreground and mountainous landscape contribute to a sense of isolation and timelessness. I captured this image on a Friday, however, it did not appear that anyone was around. It appears that the building is used for something, but I was not able to determine what it is used for. I found this old building in Galleos, New Mexico. Like many other structures in New Mexico, this one looks like it is decaying or has been neglected. Hopefully, it will continue to be used. I like to imagine what old buildings like this one are used for, but I never came up with anything other than a storage or warehouse building. This color image shows the mountains in the background a little better than the black-and-white copy of this. This color copy of the image shows best on canvas or paper. However, a metal print is very nice also.
