Artist's Description
This delicate butterfly was in a woodland setting, sitting on a wooden rail. A colorful butterfly with dark wings speckled with orange and yellow spots rests on a wooden surface. Lush green foliage provides a soft, blurred background. I'm always in awe of butterflies and how they make their annual pilgrimage. When I have the opportunity I will be still and watch a butterfly (like I did this one) for a good while. As I watch them somehow I feel closer to nature. This image can be printed on paper, metal, or canvas equally showing off the butterfly.

I began my photographic journey in 1972 with a 35mm SLR camera. I learned quickly that I could control the way an image looked and make it look much better than most amateur photographers. Over the following decades, my interest in photography grew as I pursued a career in the high tech industry. Over the years I was encouraged by many friends to turn my "hobby" into a profession. It wasn't until 2002 that I took action and began my professional photography career on a part time basis. From 2002 through 2014 I learned and grew a LOT!
