New Mexico has a lot of buildings that appear abandoned and are left to decay. They appear forgotten and left to the weather and time to determine their final fate. This building is in Mosquero, New Mexico. An old, stone building stands isolated in a grassy area surrounded by a few trees. The structure appears weathered and abandoned, under a partly cloudy sky. As I walked around this building taking in its character, I concluded it was used as a commercial building. I also wonder what business used this building, and why it has been abandoned and seemingly forgotten. If only old building could speak. This image prints nicely on any of the media.
I began my photographic journey in 1972 with a 35mm SLR camera. I learned quickly that I could control the way an image looked and make it look much better than most amateur photographers. Over the following decades, my interest in photography grew as I pursued a career in the high tech industry. Over the years I was encouraged by many friends to turn my "hobby" into a profession.
