Artist's Description

A rustic wooden bench with overhead beams is surrounded by lush green foliage. Sunlight creates dappled shadows on the ground beneath the bench. I discovered this bench at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas. It was a hot day and the bench was inviting. I sat down and began to fully embrace the surroundings. The longer I sat, I began to meditate, blocking out the world and bringing peace to my mind. You won't be disappointed with any of the mediums (paper, metal, canvas).

I began my photographic journey in 1972 with a 35mm SLR camera. I learned quickly that I could control the way an image looked and make it look much better than most amateur photographers. Over the following decades, my interest in photography grew as I pursued a career in the high tech industry. Over the years I was encouraged by many friends to turn my "hobby" into a profession. It wasn't until 2002 that I took action and began my professional photography career on a part time basis. From 2002 through 2014 I learned and grew a LOT!
