These longhorns were spotted from a winding country road near Inks Lake State Park in Texas. I stood for 15 or 20 minutes just watching these longhorns graze. A feeling of peacefulness came over me and I feel that peacefulness whenever I look at this image.

I began my photographic journey in 1972 with a 35mm SLR camera. I learned quickly that I could control the way an image looked and make it look much better than most amateur photographers. Over the following decades, my interest in photography grew as I pursued a career in the high tech industry. Over the years I was encouraged by many friends to turn my "hobby" into a profession.
