Artist's Description
A rustic U.S. post office in Luckenbach, Texas, stands under the shade of a large, spreading tree. The black-and-white image highlights the historic feel of the wooden building and surrounding area. Small Texas town made famous by country artists who would gather and play their amazing music. Luckenbach is like a step back in time. The town was settled by German settlers. Jacob Luckenbach, a German nobleman, was one of the first settlers and the town was named after him. In Luckenbach you can kick back, relax, and get away from the daily hustle and bustle of life.
A framed print is my favorite was to display this image.
About Patrick Steger
I began my photographic journey in 1972 with a 35mm SLR camera. I learned quickly that I could control the way an image looked and make it look much better than most amateur photographers. Over the following decades, my interest in photography grew as I pursued a career in the high tech industry. Over the years I was encouraged by many friends to turn my "hobby" into a profession. It wasn't until 2002 that I took action and began my professional photography career on a part time basis. From 2002 through 2014 I learned and grew a LOT!
