Artist's Description
A vintage sign displays "Luckenbach, Texas" with the phrase "Where Everybody's Somebody," indicating the location is a short distance away. The sign is set against a corrugated metal background, illuminated by two overhead lights. Luckenbach was founded in the 1800s by German settlers and is named after one of the founders of the town. Steinbeck stated "Texas is a State of Mind" and when you are in Luckenbach you will discover that he was right. Luckenbach is famous for the music acts it attracts and the laid-back environment. Many famous country western artists have played in Luckenbach and have drawn huge crouds. It's definitely a town worth visiting.

I began my photographic journey in 1972 with a 35mm SLR camera. I learned quickly that I could control the way an image looked and make it look much better than most amateur photographers. Over the following decades, my interest in photography grew as I pursued a career in the high tech industry. Over the years I was encouraged by many friends to turn my "hobby" into a profession. It wasn't until 2002 that I took action and began my professional photography career on a part time basis. From 2002 through 2014 I learned and grew a LOT!
