A rustic home sits atop a sagebrush-dotted hill under a dark, stormy sky. The landscape exudes a sense of isolation and rugged natural beauty. Looking over the flat prairie from the Gorge Bridge this home and barns are positioned miles away from the bridge and the highway that crosses over the gorge. My mind wonders how rugged life is in this isolated area of New Mexico. The image is an example of how people adapt to their surroundings.

I began my photographic journey in 1972 with a 35mm SLR camera. I learned quickly that I could control the way an image looked and make it look much better than most amateur photographers. Over the following decades, my interest in photography grew as I pursued a career in the high tech industry. Over the years I was encouraged by many friends to turn my "hobby" into a profession. It wasn't until 2002 that I took action and began my professional photography career on a part time basis. From 2002 through 2014 I learned and grew a LOT!
