Vibrant purple flowers are scattered across a lush, green meadow, surrounded by large, rugged rocks. The natural setting exudes a tranquil and picturesque atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful retreat. Texas is a great state for wildflowers. This image of wildflowers was captured in the Spring, however, wildflowers are blooming all year long in Texas (Spring just has the most volume and variety). This scene captured my attention because of the surrounding rocks to frame the wildflowers. The image was captured near Inks Lake State Park.

About Patrick Steger
I began my photographic journey in 1972 with a 35mm SLR camera. I learned quickly that I could control the way an image looked and make it look much better than most amateur photographers. Over the following decades, my interest in photography grew as I pursued a career in the high tech industry. Over the years I was encouraged by many friends to turn my "hobby" into a profession. It wasn't until 2002 that I took action and began my professional photography career on a part time basis. From 2002 through 2014 I learned and grew a LOT!
