A large steel bridge stretches across a deep, rocky canyon with a river flowing far below. The bridge is approximately 600 feet above the bottom of the canyon. The Gorge Bridge is located outside Taos, New Mexico. This image is taken from the East side of the bridge. The river flowing below the bridge is the Rio Grande River. The expansive sky above is filled with scattered clouds, creating a dramatic contrast with the rugged landscape. The magnificence of the engineering of the bridge coupled with the gorge that was carved out by the river is unmatched. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe this feature of nature. I was humbled the entire time I spent at the gorge. I recommend printing this on metal.
I began my photographic journey in 1972 with a 35mm SLR camera. I learned quickly that I could control the way an image looked and make it look much better than most amateur photographers. Over the following decades, my interest in photography grew as I pursued a career in the high tech industry. Over the years I was encouraged by many friends to turn my "hobby" into a profession.
