Artist's Description
A traditional adobe church features two square towers with red roofs and a prominent cross on top. The entrance is adorned with decorative wooden doors and small steps leading up. Sunlight illuminates the building against a clear blue sky. This church is in Questa, New Mexico. This is one of many adobe churches found throughout New Mexico. They each have their character, culture, and story. This church building was over 170 years old in 2008 when the church and community began a discussion to restore the old building whose walls had collapsed. Over the following years with the help of volunteers and donations, the building was restored, and today is beautiful.
Visiting this church was not only informative but also spiritual. One of the things I love about taking road trips is discovering places like this.

I began my photographic journey in 1972 with a 35mm SLR camera. I learned quickly that I could control the way an image looked and make it look much better than most amateur photographers. Over the following decades, my interest in photography grew as I pursued a career in the high tech industry. Over the years I was encouraged by many friends to turn my "hobby" into a profession. It wasn't until 2002 that I took action and began my professional photography career on a part time basis. From 2002 through 2014 I learned and grew a LOT!
