Artist's Description

The Taos Pueblo is a unique location. The native people who live in the pueblo have no running water, no electricity, no air conditioning, and no heating; they are truly off-grid. This stream is the only source of water for the entire Pueblo. The serene creek flows through the Pueblo with rocks scattered along the water's edge. Sunlight filters through the tree canopy, casting a warm glow on the tranquil scene. Visitors are not allowed to get into the water, drink it, or do anything other than look at it. When visiting the Pueblo it was hot and the shade of the trees and the water rushing by offered a place to enjoy coolness. Any of the media is good for printing this image.

When I began, I thought my...
